On August 3, 2011, Balcones Resources Inc. (Balcones), the largest independent recycling company in the southwest United States, broke ground on a new Materials Recycling Facility. The facility, set to open in fall 2012, will be located at 9301 Johnny Morris Road, a 10-acre site in northeast Austin. Balcones CEO Kerry Getter, Mayor Leffingwell, Commissioner Ron Davis and Solid Waste Services Director Bob Gedert spoke at the ceremony.
Congratulations to Robert Fortney, A Great Addition to the KDW Team
Robert Fortney, an outstanding KDW intern, just graduated from Sam Houston State University with a Bachelor of Science majoring in Construction Management and a minor in Business. He graduated Magna Cum Laude and has since been hired on Full-time as the Assistant Project Manager for KDW.

Recently Awarded Contracts
KDW has recently been awarded the contract for MSI and has begun constructing the 150,000 sf manufacturing facility in Northwest Harris County. MSI manufactures thread protectors for drill pipe.
KDW has recently been awarded the contract for a new 150,000 sf distribution warehouse for Neway Valves in Stafford, Texas. Neway, a global company, will be distributing gate valves and ball valves from the new facility.
KDW has also started constructing a new loading dock and warehouse for Accredo Packaging in Stafford, Texas. This will be the second project KDW has constructed for the manufacturing company in the last 3 years.
KDW has been awarded the contract for the Seatex warehouse expansion in Rosenburg, Texas. Seatex is a turn-key chemical compounding, toll manufacturing and private label packaging services.
KDW has started construction of a new 67,500 sf distribution facility for R&M Energy in Willis, Texas this summer.
KDW is constructing a new 18,000 sf facility for Tenaris Dopeless in Houston, Texas. Tenaris is a leading supplier of tubes and related services for the world's energy industry and certain other industrial applications.
Bauer Manufacturing Rewarded for Energy Efficiency
Received Incentive from Entergy Texas Commercial Solutions Program
Conroe, TX. – (Nov. 11, 2009) – Bauer Manufacturing, one of the world's largest manufacturers of foundation equipment, was awarded an incentive check of $66,642 from Entergy Texas, Inc.'s Commercial Solutions Program for installing new energy efficient lighting and air conditioning systems in its new North American headquarters.

Kingham Dalton Wilson Ltd. and GSL Welcome Group LLC are building what is expected to be the first Leedership in Energy and Environmental Design-certified chemical distribution facility in the Houston area and possibly the first in the country, according to Brittany Goldberg, project administrator with KDW.
