Goya Foods
Distribution Center

KDW provided development and design/build services for the new 117,297 sf plant and distribution facility for Goya Foods in Houston, Texas. The building consists of a warehouse, dispatch/ shipping/ receiving area, offices, test kitchen and ancillary support areas. The facility also includes a high load-bearing capacity structural floor system, large capacity cooler and freezer, specialty battery recharge system, high efficiency warehouse lighting and a specialty bean processing room.

Goya was built as a master plan site and can be expanded for future growth. KDW provided extensive land due diligence to recommend property selection. KDW also performed in-depth programming analysis of the owner's food distribution operations to enable the facility to be designed from the inside out. This facility is Goya's most modern and efficient of its 13 distribution plants.
