Facility Programming/Define Scope

Simplified to Save You Time

Simplified to Save You Time

Every successful project starts with a well-thought-out plan. KDW’s facility programming process defines the scope of work in conjunction with accurate estimating to ensure the design process can move forward with clarity and efficiency. We collaborate with stakeholders at all levels to gather input and define true needs versus wants. At the same time, we realize that our clients have day jobs. So, our streamlined procedure reduces client time requirements. With facility programming, process flow of raw materials through production, storage and shipping are identified and mapped out. KDW often sees the client’s projected square footage reduced once we design the facility from the inside out with our programming procedure. A forward-thinking investigation of needs, future growth projections, expansion requirements and potential exit strategies paves the way for a successful design-build project that is efficient and economically fits within the budget.

Working with KDW to build our state of the art High Bay/Heavy Lift Fabrication Shop was nothing short of pleasurable and professional.  Their knowledge of construction techniques is amazing and every sub-contractor that was used did impeccable work. We could not have chosen a more competent General Contractor on our million dollar expansion project.

JDR recently partnered with KDW on a build to suit lease for a purpose designed facility to support the growing needs of our expanding business. We could not have been more pleased with the support from their team and the seamless process from the front-end conceptualization phase to the final walkthrough. The integrated model KDW utilizes ensured that the end result met our business needs in line with the agreed budget. I would recommend KDW to anyone considering a new facility project due to their straightforward approach and outstanding level of service.

When Goya realized the need for a large facility capable of heavy production, we knew KDW would be our designs/builder and Houston would be our home. This is our second project in 6 years with KDW and the Goya team considers the KDW team part of our extended family."

Throughout the different phases of construction, one thing impressed us the most was your focus in honoring your commitments. Secondly, The art of making a very complex project simple is a concept you have gracefully mastered.  We not only made the right choice with KDW we found a new partner.

In 2013 WIKA Process Solutions LP and GAYESCO INTERNATIONAL LCC started working with the KDW team to design & build our brand new manufacturing facility on a 13 acre lot in the Pasadena ship channel area. From start (concept & initial renderings) to finish (January 2015 moving in) the KDW team supported us in every step of the way.
