Goya Foods Distribution Overview
Goya Foods, Inc. is America's largest Hispanic-owned food company and the premier source for authentic Latin cuisine.
They were looking for an innovative commercial construction company to build a large distribution facility in Texas. Goya Foods needed a highly efficient building and layout to entertain customers and clients with on-site food testing and prep areas and a thoughtful design of production and shipping areas where shipping managers can oversee the loading dock area.
This was KDW's first design/build project for Goya Foods. The structure consists of a 16,800 SF two-story office attached to a 122,840 SF warehouse.
The KDW team utilized clean, low-emission materials and T-5 lighting arranged in modern, forward-thinking ways.
All exterior walls are concrete tilt-wall panels.
The two-story office was designed and built to allow the shipping department to oversee the loading dock.
A state-of-the-art outdoor test kitchen was designed and built to allow Goya Foods to prepare and test sample products on site.
