Placing A Priority On Workplace Protection
Safety is an integral element emphasized in all of KDW's operations. Our safety processes utilize the TCA Safety System®, which is modeled on the global International Standards Organization's ISO 9000 Quality System methodology and aligns with, or exceeds, all recognized quality systems currently applied to safety including OHSAS 18001 and the proposed ISO 45001 standard.
Safety For All
These practices include integration of all field personnel in safety process implementation and accountability - meaning that each project team recognizes their responsibility for safety as equal to their duty to complete a client's project on time and on budget. Each superintendent owns their role as safety director for their project.
Safety Systems
KDW employs a multi-pronged approach to development and management of sustainable and scalable safety processes. This includes, but is not limited to, management commitment and direct involvement in safety leadership and accountability, a continuing education program to enhance knowledge of specific safety issues, written regulatory safety programs aligned with our discipline, short service worker programs, third-party safety observations through field audits, and managing third-party safety observations via the TCA proprietary predictive analytics software (TCA Instant!®). By using predictive analytics, KDW can identify trends before an incident or injury occurs and proactively interrupt that trend and influence safety outcomes on site. From quality systems to the latest cognitive neuroscience techniques on managing self-organizing systems - and every construction site is a self-organizing system - KDW brings state-of-the-art methodologies to both our design/build services as well as our sustainable safety practices.
