The Art of Maximizing Site Usage

The Art of Maximizing Site Usage

Site planning is critical to the success of any project. In fact, site planning is like weaving a tapestry of information that incorporates all aspects and needs of a facility. There is an art to integrating the client’s program data with research gathered during our land due diligence exercises. Whether multiple sites are being investigated for comparison purposes or a conceptual site is be analyzed for a cap-x approval, KDW’s site planning effort will identify obstacles and highlight the positive characteristics of a given tract. Through effective site planning, our in-house team of project managers and designers are able to maximize a site’s potential and determine the actual acreage needed – now and in the future.

In 2013 WIKA Process Solutions LP and GAYESCO INTERNATIONAL LCC started working with the KDW team to design & build our brand new manufacturing facility on a 13 acre lot in the Pasadena ship channel area. From start (concept & initial renderings) to finish (January 2015 moving in) the KDW team supported us in every step of the way.

Throughout the different phases of construction, one thing impressed us the most was your focus in honoring your commitments. Secondly, The art of making a very complex project simple is a concept you have gracefully mastered.  We not only made the right choice with KDW we found a new partner.

KDW has worked with us on two of our facilities, and we have been more than pleased both times. Their expertise in building for companies in the manufacturing industry resulted in facilities that were optimized for our purposes, resulting in smart layouts and highly-efficient spaces. When it comes to customer service, KDW has been affordable, personable, and timely. We highly recommend KDW for your company’s design/building projects.

When Goya realized the need for a large facility capable of heavy production, we knew KDW would be our designs/builder and Houston would be our home. This is our second project in 6 years with KDW and the Goya team considers the KDW team part of our extended family."

Working with KDW to build our state of the art High Bay/Heavy Lift Fabrication Shop was nothing short of pleasurable and professional.  Their knowledge of construction techniques is amazing and every sub-contractor that was used did impeccable work. We could not have chosen a more competent General Contractor on our million dollar expansion project.
